Company Overview
Founded in 1995, 8e6 Technologies whose focus was Web filtering, merged with Marshal, an e-mail security specialist, in 2008 and became Marshal8e6. In 2009 Marshal8e6 changed its name to M86 Security and was acquired by Trustwave in 2012. The acquisition added M86 Security's advanced anti-malware technologies, including its Secure Web Gateway, to the Trustwave product portfolio and strengthened Trustwave's cloud and managed security services.
